Help
Support
Most Quick Look problems come down to the extension being disabled or another preview extension taking priority.
Start with the sample
- Open So Markdown.
- Choose Help → Quick Look Help.
- Use Show Sample in Finder, select the sample, then press Space.
If the preview does not appear
- Use the Quick Look Settings shortcut in So Markdown and make sure its extension is enabled.
- If another Markdown preview app is installed, temporarily disable its Quick Look extension and try the sample again.
- Confirm the file uses a supported extension:
.md,.markdown,.mdown,.mkd,.mkdnor.mdwn. - Open the same file in the So Markdown reader. This helps distinguish a Finder extension problem from a document problem.
Local images
macOS may not give a Quick Look extension permission to read images beside a document. When that happens, So Markdown shows an explanation in place of the image. Opening the document in the standalone reader may allow more local images to appear.
Contact
Email info@somarkdown.app. Please include your macOS version, the file extension and whether the sample preview works. A small non-sensitive example document is useful when the problem depends on particular Markdown.
